Candle Care

Let’s make sure you’re safe!

We want to make sure you have the best experience with our candles, but please bear in mind that if not monitored, candles can lead to serious accidents.

In order to make sure you safely enjoy your products from the first burn until the last one, please see our guidelines.

BEFORE YOU BURN YOUR CANDLE

Before you light up your candle, please make sure your candle wick is trimmed to approximately 5 mm, ¼ of an inch. The reason this is necessary is because it prevents uneven or fast burning, dripping or flaring and promotes a steady flame, limits shooting and increases how the scent of the candle fills the room. Invest in a good pair of wick trimmers that will cut and remove the excess wick cleanly.

Your candle needs to be placed in a SAFE SPACE. Make sure when you light up your candle it does not burn near places/things that can catch on fire. (furniture, paper, books, drapes etc.)

Keep candles out of the reach or places where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.

WHILE THE CANDLE BURNS

For safety reasons, a candle should not be burned more than 4H at a time.

Never leave a candle unattended.

Never sleep with a candle lit up. This can lead to serious accidents.

For safety reasons, do not burn a candle all the way down. Stop when there is 10 mm of wax or less remaining in the jar, the flame needs a solid base of wax to avoid overheating the glass container.

If you want to take advantage of the smell of the candle, make sure that the first 30 minutes when the candle is burned, you do not have multiple windows opened.

When burning a candle, the candle wick should not be flickering. If this happens and the flame is out of control, that is an indication that the candle is not burning properly. This can be a dangerous situation so make sure you extinguish it and trim the wick before lighting it again.

AFTER BURNING

When extinguishing the candle, make sure you do not pour water on top. Use a snuffer to extinguish the candle.

Before leaving the room, make sure your candle is completely out and there is no glow coming from the wick ember.

Do not touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.

Candles should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place. No direct sunlight.

Make sure your candle is clean before reusing it. Candles can get dusty easy.
